Most of the products we consume that either end up in landfills or in sewage processing facilities are containing toxics, materials that are engineered for the purpose to make a product cheaper, to help people, to be consumed without taking into consideration the end of life, where it ends up. Methane is a very damaging Greenhouse Gas (GHG). Landfills even with landfill gas capture systems in place still emit significant amounts of this very potent GHG gas. Compared to hypothetical assumptions that are made to calculate hypothetical GHGs, IeRM is using scientifically recognized (ex by NASA and NOAA) technology to determine a much more exact number what really comes out of a landfill.
